Abstract:	This work, presents the process of making an eco-pedagogical scale model, as a product required for obtaining the title of master’s degree, professional, in the teaching of environmental sciences, at the pole of the University of Brasilia (UnB), which aims to illustrate in a playful and interactive way, for students of basic education in environmental sciences, the damage caused by soil sealing to groundwater in urban regions, especially in the Federal District (DF), in addition to the damage caused by insufficient drainage systems and the possibility of alternative sustainable drainage. From this perspective, it is intended to insert a holistic vision for the hydrological cycle in an interdisciplinary approach. To contextualize, in the most reliable way possible, the water infiltration phase of the hydrological cycle in the Federal District, data from UnB's research on the geological behavior, as well as the groundwater of the Federal District, were parameters for the making of the maquette that was based on the most frequent model proposed for the region, which is, a porous aquifer in soil, overlaid on a rocky and fractured aquifer. The model comprises a transparent acrylic box with dimensions of 50 x 35 x 35cm, transversely subdivided in the middle to represent and compare two urban situations of infiltration, from the surface to the two aquifers, in addition to the surface runoff of rainwater. One situation simulates the current urban drainage system of DF, of low permeabilization and infiltration, called traditional, in which the urban galleries direct rainwater to the nearest water body, while the other seeks to demonstrate an alternative drainage system that considers the natural flow of rainwater, either by recomposing its infiltration capacity in green areas or by capturing and storing rainwater. With social isolation imposed by restrictive measures, due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, a suggestion for future application of the model in class, in the Ecological Park of Águas Claras, was described, using the focus group method to verify its effectiveness.
