Abstract:	The concern with the efficient use of natural resources in the production process is not recent. In the industrial context, studies indicate that one third of global energy is consumed by industries, adding directly to global temperature rise. Textile industrial processes are materials and energy consuming, but also measurable, traceable and analyzable in such a way to enable the implementation of strategies to reduce negative discharges and environmental impacts, making the business models circular. This thesis aims to analyze the perspectives of the textile industry of the state of Ceará in a context of Circular Economy. The thesis structure is divided into three papers, which are systematized to meet the general objective. Paper 1 includes a theoretical discussion on the concepts of Industrial Ecology, Cradle to Cradle, and Circular Economy; Paper 2 discusses what information is obtained, by applying the Input-Output method, in the relationship between economic sectors. In Paper 3, a multifaceted study is carried out on the state of Ceará's textile industries, aiming to analyze how this industry relates to other economic sectors in the context of a Circular Economy, in order to propose actions that can be implemented, aiming to make the relationships more circular, focusing on sustainable development. At the end of this thesis, it can be verified that the results obtained by the research contribute directly to assist in the planning of sustainable actions, considering the economic, social, political, and environmental dimensions. The mapping of the path taken by-products from the textile industry in Ceará and the relations between economic sectors and Brazilian states demonstrate that public policies can be adopted, as well as enabling the discussion of strategies that make products and businesses more circular, thus avoiding waste and the negative impact on the environment. Since the textile industry generates waste in its production process, as there is an integration between productive sectors so that the waste emitted by a certain industry can be used by another, in addition to public policies and legal systems that encourage the participation of the society in the execution and supervision of sustainable actions, it is possible to make the insertion of the textile industry of Ceará in a Circular Economy a reality.
