Abstract:	The main objective of this research is to analyze the domestication of protests phenomenon from the case of june 2013 demonstrations for fare reductions of the public transportation, observing intetionalities that seek to conform actively to the order, present in world sight of Associação Nacional de Empresas de Transportes Urbanos (NTU), Frente Nacional de Prefeitos (FNP) and Federação das Industrias do Estado de São Paulo (FIESP), as well as some other entities that represente some dominant class fractions. Although disruptive forms of expression of popular will, such as protests, had been largely denie by the State and the real existing democracies – as exemplified by Federalists Papers and schumpeterian elitist democracy –, from the second half of the twentieth century to twentieth one, protest had been increasingly more acepted, provided that it conform to order, such argued by Habermas and the critical citzenship literature. Conventionalization of protests, respectively, used by the critical citezenship literature and Sidney Tarrow, was the concept used, as well as debates about domesticated subjectivities and brazilian union corporativism to conceptualize domestication as one tipe of domination, in wich subaltern groups and popular classes act actively to limit its own forms and contents of the strugles, limiting their popular power. In the analysis of world sights, using constitutive causality, they were divided in low, medium and high coverage seeking to understand those related to the conjuncture, the democracy and participation, and to the economy and the political confrontation. Furthermore, the domestication process was divided between the steps of intentionalities, dispositives and results, wich the two first were the focus of this dissertation. The research identified the imprisonment of protests in its agenda-setting capabilities and interpreting them flattening its demands, seeking out to limit its capacities of power in the possibilities of a city strike, as well as a appreciations of reactionary political ativation to denounce protesters that did not follow the order, burning bus, blocking streets or “vandalizing”.
