| Abstract: | The objective of the present work was to compare the use of data from permanent and temporary plots in the classification of productive capacity, prognosis with Clutter and an exponential model in the regulation of eucalyptus production in the planning of management alternatives. Therefore, the hypothesis that data from temporary plots can be used for site classification, prognosis and regulation was evaluated. In addition, in the three chapters the scenarios of permanent plots and temporary plots were compared with the results obtained from a balanced (with plot balance in the productivity classes) and unbalanced (with sample concentration in the middle productivity class) database. The 1 consisted of the use of the Schumacher model to estimate the dominant height of the productivity classes by the guide curve method, for both permanent and temporary plots, the site was also classified from the imbalance of the data to verify the distribution of the parcels in the previously identified productivity classes. In chapter 2 different models of prognosis were used, Clutter as a projection model for data from permanent plots and the exponential model as a way to predict future volume from data from temporary plots. Modification strategies were proposed in the adjustment of the exponential model for the purpose of improving the accuracy of the statistics and aiming to take into account the intrinsic characteristic of the available data. The production tables originated in the prognosis of both scenarios served as an input (input) in the structuring of the decision model in chapter 3. In this chapter, the simplex algorithm to the classical model 1 was used by the linear programming tool in order to regulate the production and aiming at maximum financial return in the period of 15 years in the scenarios of permanent and temporary plots, in addition to the scenario that had as input the classification and unbalanced prognosis model, generating cutting alternatives for the 161 plots considered. The use of data from permanent plots is the most recommended due to consistency in studies of growth and production, however, when none exists, data from temporary surveys are viable alternatives in the classification, prediction and regulation of forest production, as observed specifically for this database. |
