Atributos dos Requisitos Funcionais para Registros Bibliográficos (FRBR)

Abstract

Este capítulo apresenta os antecedentes dos Requisitos Funcionais para Registros Bibliográficos (FRBR), publicados pela IFLA (International Federation of Library Association and Institutions) em 1998, trazendo uma visão geral do modelo. Dedica-se a explorar as relações entre os atributos das entidades (obra, expressão e manifestação), seus valores em relação às tarefas do usuário definidas no modelo (encontrar, identificar, selecionar e obter) e os campos do formato MARC 21 bibliográfico, baseando-se na literatura. Finalizando, comenta a importância deste conhecimento para uma potencial FRBRização dos catálogos, as atualizações necessárias e espera que o conteúdo apresentado venha a contribuir para futuros estudos sobre o modelo. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

This chapter briefly presents the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records: final report, published by IFLA (International Federation of Library Association and Institutions) in 1998, bringing a model‘s overview. It dedicates to exploring the relationships between the entities attributes (work, expression and manifestation), the values of user tasks defined in the model (find, identifying, select, obtain) and the MARC 21 bibliographic format tags, by means of the revision of recent literature. Concluding, it presents final commentaries about the relevance of this knowledge for a potential catalog FRBRization and the necessity of updates as well it hopes its content brings some contributions to future studies about the model.
