Por que investir em pesquisa qualitativa?

Abstract

Apresenta uma reflexão sobre a importância da pesquisa na e para a universidade, dando ênfase à necessidade de se implementar, nos centros universitários, a pesquisa qualitativa. Atentando para o fato de que esse tipo de pesquisa nem sempre é reconhecido como legítimo, procura, numa rápida abordagem sobre as funções da universidade no decorrer de sua história, alertar para a premente necessidade de se adotar a pesquisa, sobretudo a qualitativa, como eixo norteador das demais atividades acadêmicas, colocando-a como diferenciador de universidade e colégios superiores. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

In this text, a reflection on the importance of the research in and for the university is made, giving emphasis on the necessity of implementing, in the university centers, the qualitative research. Being attentive by the fact that this type of research is not always recognized as legitimate, it tries, as an approach on the functions of the university during its history, to alert for the pressing necessity of adopting the research, specially the qualitative one, as an axle of other academic activities, placing it in the position of university differentiator and upper colleges.
