Abstract:	This study examined how innovative urban park management models can improve user experience while reducing reliance on public funding, drawing on national and international best practices in the management of these important spaces. Governments face multiple demands, such as public safety, health, education, and infrastructure, that require continuous investment, yet do not always lead to the achievement of intended goals. Therefore, adopting shared-management models capable of enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance of public action in managing these spaces has become pressing. The lack of adequate management guidelines that reconcile innovation, technology, and sustainability, combined with scarce financial and human resources and fragmented governance processes, undermines the effectiveness of public action and limits the potential of these spaces to promote urban well-being and sustainability in an integrated manner. To develop this study, a literature review on the topic was conducted, along with documentary analysis and comparative case studies of national and international models, with the aim of comprehensively understanding the impacts brought about by these innovations. To this end, methods such as interviews and the collection of socioeconomic data were employed, with Sarah Kubitschek City Park (Parque da Cidade Sarah Kubitschek), in Brasília, Federal District, serving as the central case study. The results indicated the inadequacy of conventional, purely bureaucratic and normative models for addressing the inherent complexity of these spaces, while also identifying experiences considered successful. The study concluded that the concession of Parque da Cidade Sarah Kubitschek is financially viable and attractive, combining the improvement of a relevant public facility with the possibility of positive returns for both the public sector and the private partner, in a mutually beneficial arrangement, provided that it is properly implemented and monitored throughout its term.
