Abstract:	This dissertation aimed to understand the life stories and psychosocial intervention processes of adult women who committed sexual offenses against children and adolescents and were treated in a specialized public service in the Federal District. This is a phenomenon still little explored in the Brazilian academic scenario, marked by strong institutional invisibility and social conceptions that hinder the recognition of women as possible perpetrators of sexual offenses. In this sense, the study sought to contribute to filling this gap, offering a critical and in-depth analysis of a topic that challenges traditional gender expectations and demands sensitive, ethical, and interdisciplinary approaches. The investigation adopted a qualitative approach, using document analysis as the main method. Nine institutional records produced between 2016 and 2025 were examined and interpreted in light of González Rey's epistemological perspective, articulated with the new-paradigmatic systemic perspective and the framework of intersectionality. The results were organized into two analytical axes: the sociodemographic characterization of women who perpetrated sexual offenses and the violence suffered and perpetrated throughout their lives. The information gathered reveals trajectories marked by multiple social, economic, and subjective vulnerabilities, highlighting the intersection between gender, race, class, and cumulative violence throughout the life cycle. Among the women investigated, a significant history of physical, psychological, and sexual violence was observed, in addition to experiences of neglect, fragile or conflictual emotional bonds, and severe manifestations of psychological distress, including suicidal ideation and attempts. The research indicates that these experiences should not be taken as justification for the acts committed, but constitute fundamental elements for understanding the complexity of the phenomenon and for supporting the construction of accountability and care practices. The findings also highlight the difficulty in identifying, reporting, and registering cases of sexual assault committed by women, largely due to deeply ingrained gender stereotypes that associate femininity with caregiving, motherhood, and a supposed inability to cause harm. Additionally, gaps were found in institutional records and weaknesses in available judicial data, limiting the understanding of the legal, clinical, and social trajectories of the women served. Based on the results, it is concluded that there is an urgent need for ongoing training and capacity building for professionals in the health, justice, and social assistance networks, focusing on gender, mental health, and sexual violence. It is also recommended to expand interinstitutional studies, strengthen public policies, and implement integrated and intersectoral intervention strategies capable of articulating ethical accountability, continuity of care, and prevention of further violence. Finally, although based on a small sample, this research contributes to giving visibility to a phenomenon that is still little explored in the Brazilian context and offers support for the development of more humanized, contextualized practices that are sensitive to the structural inequalities that permeate the lives of these women.
