Abstract:	This work seeks to analyze the health maintenance strategies developed among black men in the Brasília Black Men Conversation Circle (Roda de Homens Negros), which has been conducted biweekly and autonomously by a collective of men, every two weeks, since August 22nd. 2018 in Brasília-DF. Using the reconstructive social research method (Bohnsack, 2020), three narrative axes were identified that were repeated among the participants, giving us a group overview of circle: 1 – The Circle as health promotion equipment; 2 – The Circle giving new meaning to the blackness of the participants; 3 – The Circle as a counter-colonial strategy for confronting racism by black men. The research highlights subjective aspects through the reproduction of the participants' speeches and meanings, together with a personal narrative of why I chose this topic, demonstrating an intertwining with the research object and the construction of the life of an affected being (Fravet-Saada, 2005) through this topic, which ultimately resulted in a look at multiple subjectivities, even though they were all within the category of "black men". We wanted to draw attention to the need to demystify and break down a monolithic block of analysis. The group highlighted the complexity of the division into two structuring categories of Brazilian society: gender and race. The research also highlights legislative provisions that would make it possible to think about health promotion for black men in Brazil at an institutional level of the Brazilian State.
