Abstract:	With a prominent importance within studies in Public Administration, public policy networks and state capabilities configure the two central themes of this work. The combination of these important concepts sought to point out how the municipal executive in the state of Goiás improves its political-relational state capabilities through the interaction of members of the National Family Farming Policy network. Therefore, the objective of the present work is to analyze how the municipal sphere in Goiás manages to develop political-relational state capacities through network action to implement the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf). The theoretical framework focused on covering the main points about public policy networks and state capabilities, along with historical milestones and description of Pronaf and the trajectory of family farming in the Brazilian context, in order to contemplate what is analyzed in the results chapter. As a method, we decided on a qualitative approach along with the case study, with justification around the characteristics of observation, interpretation and role of the researcher within the research and analysis of their data, combined with the descriptive and exploratory nature of the study. Data collection was carried out using the interview technique, conducted using a semi-structured script and based on the literature on the two main themes raised here. The results obtained demonstrated how the municipal level can work to develop better political-relational capabilities in its dealings with other bodies linked to the issue of family farming, different spheres of government and civil society, raising barriers and challenges for better implementation of Pronaf and the importance of strengthening ties in achieving similar goals and positive impacts to Society.
