Abstract:	This dissertation was developed within the Programa de Pós-Graduação da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de Brasília (UnB). The locus of the research is the Centro Educacional do Programa de Assentamento Dirigido do Distrito Federal (CED PAD-DF), a Basic Education school that is part of the Regional de Ensino do Paranoá-DF, in which this researcher has been a teacher since 2014. The central question of this study was to know which elements allow the CED PAD-DF to advance in the process of transforming the school form to consolidate an effectively Peasant School? Starting from this question, this research has as general objective to analyze the elements that collaborate for the transformation of the school form from the perspectives and challenges evidenced in the process of construction of the Peasant School by the CED PAD-DF. Related objectives are those of revealing which actions have been developed in the CED-PAD-DF in the process of building the Peasant School; to understand how the categories Work as an Educational Principle, Present and Self-organization appear in the process of organization of the pedagogical work at CED-PAD-DF and; identify, from the perspective of students and educators, potentialities and challenges presented from the insertion of Socialist Pedagogy categories in the organization of pedagogical work. The epistemological basis of this work was Historical-Dialectic Materialism. We carried out qualitative research, within the school, through participatory research through interaction between students and teachers. The main instruments for acquiring information were the analysis of the Pedagogical Political Project (PPP), the Inventário Social, Histórico e Cultural do CED PAD-DF, in addition to the teacher training processes, conversation circles with the school team and community and participant observation through the monitoring of activities in the Diversified Part (PD) classes. In addition, we are based on studies and results obtained in Specialization of the Programa Escola da Terra-UNB (2019). It was possible to verify that the CED PAD-DF has made significant advances towards the transformation of the school form. The PPP and the Inventário are fundamental instruments in the process of organizing the pedagogical work that lead to this transformation. Another finding was that there is a need for mobilizations in the sense that continuing education is strengthened and reaches a greater number of teachers who work in the Peasant Schools, since the rotation of teachers makes it difficult for the projects to continue and actions. We also found that from the study of Inventário Social, Histórico e Cultural do CED PAD-DF, and the categories Work as an Educational Principle, Self-organization, Present and Agroecology, the students were able to understand a little more about their identity as peasant subjects, as well as the difference between Rural Education and Peasant Education.
