Abstract:	The Conservation Plan is the document that present the cultural significance of a determined place and all its own policies that allow this significance to be maintained over time. It must include aspects related to conservation and maintenance procedures, with maintenance planned not only to preserve the material aspects, but also an important part of protecting the history and cultural values of the building. Debates about the conservation of modern architecture are recent. It is necessary to advance in the knowledge of durability and degradation due to the limited data available for studies that are more detailed of the natural aging of buildings. This lack of information of building structure through the years and its history, original project and construction, makes it difficult to manage procedures for the conservation of the work. In this context, this research aims to establish requirements for the conservation plan of modernist buildings witch cantilever construction. As an object of study, two buildings with this kind of structure were chosen, the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region, the Sede I Building and the Anexo I Building, presented at the Praça dos Tribunais Superiores in the Setor de Autarquias in Brasília, DF. These are modernist buildings, which have a pronounced cantilever construction: Headquarters I designed by engineer Sérgio Marques de Souza and Annex I by professor and engineer Ernesto Walter, both projects from the 60s. They are two similar buildings, less known and not listed as historical inheritance, but inserted in a tumbled area with characteristics that dialogue with the buildings of the modernist city. Based on documentary data surveys, Interviews, simulations of structural behavior and building inspections, the analytical approach consisted of the following steps: knowledge of the place; evaluation of Cultural Significance; studies on conservation potentials and policies. The results organized in a SWOT matrix that served to rank the maintenance actions that affect the conservation throughout the aging of the cantilever building. Based on the results, subsidies for mitigations were proposed, organized in five dimensions: Documentation; recognition; monitor; training; and Maintain. The main contributions of this work aim to outline guidelines for a conservation plan for buildings with the cantilever construction.
