Abstract:	The developmentalist policy with industrial, technological and urban parameters driven by different governments in Brazil, since the mid-1940s, caused considerable socioeconomic growth for the country (RIBEIRO, 1993). However, it gave growth to several socio-environmental conflicts and disputes over the use, access and appropriation of land and natural resources. The construction of Hydroelectric plants during the period (1960 - 1999) was one of them, as it caused several impacts on the traditional peoples or communities of the country. After the construction of the Itaparica Hydroelectric Plant (1988), now known as Luiz Gonzaga, the indigenous people Tuxá de Rodelas of Bahia lost a large part of their territory. This caused internal conflicts and recurring socio-cultural impacts of the land deficit, a factor which added to the climatic aspects of the region of the sub- middle of the São Francisco River, in result, some families are going through difficulties to guarantee their food and water supply. In the present work, it is exposed how these two factors gradually increased the vulnerability, sensitivity and exposure of the people, causing a cultural disruption, water and food deficit, health deterioration, precarious housing, discrimination and lack of job opportunities. The exposed results help to understand the situation that the people are going through and to be aware of the difficulties that the different people that have been affected by dams are experiencing. It is hoped that knowing different perspectives on the impacts generated, it will be possible to analyze future ventures and scenarios and that public policies and adaptation measures will be developed by local and national authorities that improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable. The document, based on an Analysis of Social Networks (ARS), also proposes adaptive measures and presents bases and ways for its adequate consolidation. Methodologically the research is of a mixed character, where qualitative and quantitative research techniques were implemented in the collection and interpretation of primary and secondary data. The primary data, of qualitative character, were collected through interviews, life histories and focus groups, and were complemented with secondary quantitative data extracted from different institutions. The study shows that interdisciplinary approaches and mixed methodologies make it possible to address complex socioenvironmental problems, as well as provide indications of effective solutions.
