Abstract:	The Domain Crixás-Goiás located in the central part of the Tocantins Province, represents an allochthonous cratonic fragment that were probably amalgamated to the western margin of the São Francisco craton in the Paleoproterozoic. The Domain is composed of Archean orthogneiss complexes (TTG) separated by Archean to Paleoproterozoic greenstone belts. In the southern portion of the terrane is located the Serra de Santa Rita greenstone belt, composed at the bottom of Mesoarchean ultramafic, mafic and intermediate metavolcanic rocks. The upper part is composed of thick packages of carbonaceous phyllites and metagreywackes interlayered with metachert that give rise to essentially psammitic rocks at the top. The whole sequence was affected by greenschist to lower amphibolite facies metamorphism. This work aims to characterize the intermediate metavolcanics and metasedimentary sequences of the Digo-Digo region at the Serra de Santa Rita greenstone belt, investigating the geochemical and isotopic signatures of these rocks. Historically, the region has been differentiated from the other greenstone belts of the Domain Crixás-Goiás by the presence of felsic volcanoclastic rocks and massive sulfide levels exposed in the confluence of the Digo-Digo and the Vermelho River. Geological mapping and geochemical characterization performed in this work brought significative advances in the understanding of the petrogenesis of the Serra de Santa Rita greenstone belt’s rocks and a new scenario for their geological evolution history. The region of the Digo-Digo Creek is composed of tholeiitic mafic and intermediate metavolcanics rocks (metandesites, metatuffs) and matadiorite of Mesoarchean age (2.9 Ga). The intermediate rocks present calc-alkaline affinity and geochemical characteristics similar to high-silica adakites. The mafic rocks a present a transitional magmatic affinity. In general, the mafic rocks have high Nb contents, sharing some similarities with Nb-enriched basalts. For both groups of metavolcanics rocks, the geochemical signatures show petrogenetic characteristics of an Archean magmatic arc. The results of the U-Pb analyzes in detrital zircons of the metasedimentary rocks of the Digo-Digo Formation showed paleoproterozoic ages ca. 2.15 Ga, with isotopic and geochemical signature distinct from other Archean volcanic rocks, suggesting that this sedimentary sequence was deposited in the Rhiacyan.
