Abstract:	The thesis presented in this work proposes to establish a path towards the analysis of Audiodescription (AD) scripts for theatrical performances, conferring cultural accessibil- ity to people with visual impairment and/or low vision. Based on the conjectures that are developed in the exercise of making AD scripts, specifically for the play Cora dentro de mim: fazendo doces e plantando roseiras, we can combine the contributions of the Guide to Accessible Audiovisual Productions (GPAA) and the theories and theatrical tech- niques. The investigations in AD for the theater contained in the first chapter show the researchers’ commitment to the area and contribute greatly to the development of this thesis, being the starting point of a concrete proposal towards the construction of AD scripts in the theatrical scene. The track through the theories and theatrical techniques in the course of time, arranged in the second chapter, direct my analysis to the central ob- jective of the thesis, which intends to reach an AD script which can align itself to the aesthetic aspects proposed in the show. The AD script made for the show considers in each insertion the strategies of translation of the guide and the most prominent theatrical techniques in each scene presented through the photographs. The analysis of the inser- tions of AD in the play, found in the third chapter, creates a link between the GPAA’s propositions and the theatrical techniques, contributing to the development of future re- searches and, particularly, to the formation of audiodescripters interested in theatrical ac- cessibility.
