Abstract:	Conducting research in the area of social representations (RS) in articulation with gender devices leads us to investigate the implications of the division by society of people into two distinct and naturalized categories: to man is attributed to rationality and physical strength, and to women, natural instincts and propensity to care for others. The aspects arising from these representations in the context of school institutions concern Social Psychology and are related to the choice and professional performance of teachers, heteronormativity as a hegemonic pattern in interactions between subjects in school and the justification of prejudiced attitudes and discriminatory behavior against women. and homosexuals in the school context. Based on the premise that people build social representations about facts, objects, situations and other people that cause strangeness and destabilization to the group how can SRs constitute a basis for prejudice and discrimination? of homosexual teachers at school? In order to answer these questions, the main objective of this study was to identify teachers' SR on homosexual teachers in the school context from the study of the dumb zone. We also proceed with the description of the genesis, contents and structure of these representations from the prototypical analysis. The sample consisted of 70 teachers from public schools of the State Department of Education of the DF. The instruments consisted of evocation questionnaires with justifications about the teachers' own representations and about those they attributed to their colleagues. We used the program Iramuteq to the data analisys. The results of both studies allow us to state that teachers maintain social representations about their homosexual peers in the school context. Analysis of the mute zone of these representations shows that there are significant differences between teachers' opinions and those attributed to their group. The core that underlies homosexual beliefs and behaviors are prejudice; rejection; not; to influence; exist; professionalism and problem. For the participants, professionalism appears in the idea that homosexuals in school would not be a problem as long as they are dedicated to work - as a way of compensating for the negativity of their sexual orientation - and responsible for not influencing their students with regard to to sexual orientation. However, the study of the dumb zone showed that professionalism does not neutralize the condition of teachers' sexual orientation, because, even though they are good professionals, dedicated to work and with competence, rejection prevails. It is also expected that these results contribute to the discussions about prejudice and discrimination in the school context, as well as guide the inclusion practices of people who do not fit the heteronormative model, bringing elements that can support the elaboration of teaching programs. aimed at social integration of differences.
