Abstract:	INTRODUCTION: The process of constructing and coexistence with a ostomy of elimination has psychological, social and structural repercussions for the stomized, because it affects its integrity, its body image and its daily experience. All these transformations also condition the family's life in an affective, labor and social way, as this is a source of strength and support. Stomized and family members need a structure of support, inclusion and guidance to face the circumstances existing by the presence of the ostomy.OBJECTIVES: To understand the significance of the Association of Ostomized of the Federal District (AOSDF), for stomized and family members and to describe the considerations of the participants on the Association of Ostomized meetings. METHOD: Descriptive, qualitative study, which used for the collection of data interstructured interviews with 13 subjects. Eight stomized participated in the study and five relatives of stomized, all frequent members of the meetings of stomized. Primary approach and scheduling of interviews were carried out according to the availability of the participants. The Sociodemographic data of family and stomized and clinical stomized were obtained during the interview and described. The analysis of the thematic content of the speeches was used for the treatment of findings. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee on Research with Human Beings, Judgment N. 2,225,012. RESULTS: Among the relatives were interviewed one man and four women and among the stomized three men and five women, most over 45 years, married, with full middle school and minimum participation of six months in the meetings. We identified four thematic categories: How I heard about AOSDF, only for the stomized, Meaning of AOSDF, Contributions of AOSDF to life, Considerations on the meetings of stomized. In the first category the nurse prevailed as a source of information on the AOSDF to the stomized. For the family members the meaning of the association is linked to the benefits achieved by stomized. For the stomized the meaning of AOSDF is linked to learning, exchange of experiences and release of fears as they were described as happy, cozy and pleasant. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: The support offered in the association has transcended technical support and allows stomized and family members to confront adverse situations of daily life, mutual learning and solidifying the resilience. The meetings were described as happy, cozy and pleasant.
Resumen:	INTRODUCCIÓN: El proceso de construcción y convivencia com ostomia de eliminación tiene repercusiones psicológicas, sociales y estructurales para el ostomizado, ya que afecta su integridad, su imagen corporal y su experiencia cotidiana. Todas estas transformaciones también condicionan la vida de la familia de manera afectiva, laboral y social, ya que es una fuente de fortaleza y apoyo. Ostomizado y los miembros de la familia necesitan una estructura de apoyo, inclusión y orientación para hacer frente a las circunstancias existentes por la presencia de la ostomia. OBJETIVOS: Entender el significado de la Asociación de ostomizados del Distrito Federal (AOSDF), para ostomizados y familiares y describir las consideraciones de los participantes sobre las reuniones de la Asociación de ostomizados. MÉTODO:Estudio descriptivo, cualitativo, que utilizó para la recopilación de datos interestructurados entrevistas con 13 sujetos. Participaron en el estudio ocho stomized y cinco parientes de stomized, todos los miembros frecuentes de las reuniones de ostomizado. El enfoque primario y la programación de las entrevistas se llevaron a cabo de acuerdo a la disponibilidad de los participantes. Los datos Sóciodemográficos de la familia y del stomized y del stomized dados clínico fueron obtenidos durante la entrevista y descritos. El análisis del contenido temático de los discursos fue utilizado para el tratamiento de hallazgos. La investigación fue aprobada por el Comité de ética en investigación con seres humanos, opinión N. 2.225.012. RESULTADOS: Entre los parientes se entrevistó un hombre y cuatro mujeres y entre los stomized tres hombres y cinco mujeres, más de 45 años, casados, con plena escuela media y mínima participación de seis meses en las reuniones. Se identificaron cuatro categorías temáticas: Como he oído de AOSDF, sólo para el stomized, Significado de AOSDF, Contribuciones de AOSDF a la vida, Consideraciones sobre las reuniones de stomized. En la primera categoría la enfermera prevaleció como fuente de la información sobre el AOSDF al stomized. Para los miembros de la familia el significado de la asociación está ligado a los beneficios obtenidos por Estomizado. Para el Estomizado el significado de AOSDF está ligado al aprendizaje, intercambio de experiencias y liberación de miedos. Las reuniones fueron descritas como felices, acogedoras y agradables. CONDISERAÇÕES FINALES: El apoyo ofrecido en la Asociación ha trascendido el apoyo técnico y permite a los miembros de la stomized y de la familia enfrentar situaciones adversas de la vida cotidiana, el aprendizaje mutuo y la solidificación de la resiliencia.
