| Abstract: | This work is intended initially to do an investigation of the historic tour of the rights of conquest traveled by the social movements in the Brazilian context. There is an analysis of the theoretical elements characterizing the social movements in an attempt to contribute academically to said subject. Certain changes in the role of social movements in recent decades are outlined, and suggested two additional strategies to improve the performance of these on the national scene. Furthermore, this research writing the recent history of repression of social claims manifestations by Brazil, reaching the relationship between state institutions and the organic elite of the country, which influences and directs the State's actions to maintain their private interests. This research finds the continuity of the past in the present situation, to identify the permanency of power maintenance in the field of business elites of the country, continuing the oppression of political repression and the lower classes insurgents. As an action plan for the transformation of the current power concentration paradigm, this paper proposes the investment of subordinate social sectors organized in popular legal education projects. These projects aim to educate the general population about the oppressive social structures in which they live, for it to release themselves and their peers to deny their liability status, taking forward the political struggle for the emancipation rights. By training community leaders and the people, the social legal education projects intended to break with the alienating and conformist common sense, it attaches to the exclusion causes external to the structure of social relations, which relates the scope of personal fulfillment consumption. Objective-up, thus building an emancipatory common sense, based popular participation in state decisions, assuming responsibility for collective management – currently fully transferred to political representatives. The popular education projects intend also equip the subaltern subjects with legal knowledge necessary for them to join the playing field for the monopoly to say and apply the law, by which the State's actions are based. Thus, this study invests not only in assessing the inequality problem and contemporary social exclusion, but also proposes viable and innovative solutions that are built for new ways and means to enable the collective emancipation. |
