Sofrimento mental e satisfação no trabalho em professores de unidades prisionais em Porto Velho

Abstract

O estudo objetivou verificar o nível de sofrimento mental e sua possível associação com a satisfação no trabalho dos professores que desenvolvem suas práticas em unidades prisionais na cidade de Porto Velho- RO. Trata-se de um estudo de corte transversal. Para o levantamento dos dados utilizou-se três instrumentos estruturados: o questionário sócio-demográfico; o questionário Self-Report-questionnaire (SQR-20), e a Escala de satisfação no trabalho do OSI-Ocupational Stress Indicator, mensurada por meio de escala de Likert. Os resultados apresentaram que, 12,5% dos professores apresentam distúrbios psíquicos menores, considerados como indicadores de evidências de sofrimento mental. A satisfação no trabalho teve índices similares aos encontrados na literatura, apresentando a maior proporção nas variáveis intermediárias, ou seja, as suas maiores freqüências estão no intervalo de alguma insatisfação, com 32,28%; e 32,04% com alguma satisfação. O maior índice de insatisfação está na variável que se refere a salário, com 29,4%. A partir dos dados coletados neste estudo, pode-se indicar uma possível associação entre insatisfação no trabalho e sofrimento mental. ________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

The study it objectified to verify the level of mental suffering and its possible association with the satisfaction in the work of the practical teachers who develop its in prisons in the city of Porto Velho-RO. One is about a study of transversal cut. For the survey of the data one used three structuralized instruments: the partner-demographic questionnaire; the Self-Reportquestionnaire (SQR-20), and Scale of satisfaction in the work of the OSIOccupational Stress Pointer, measured by means of scale of Likert. The results had presented that, 12,5% of the teachers present lesser psychic riots, considered as indicating of evidences of mental suffering. The satisfaction in the work had similar indices to found in literature, presenting the biggest ratio in the intermediate variable, that is, its bigger frequencies is in the interval of some dissatisfaction, with 32,28%; e 32,04% with some satisfaction. The biggest index of dissatisfaction is in the variable that if relates the wage, with 29,4%. From the data collected in this study, it can be indicated a possible association between dissatisfaction in the work and mental suffering.
