Abstract:	The aim of this article is to discuss research in the light of studies on Visual Culture and its conceptions as an interdisciplinary field of investigation. This occurrence takes place through constant manifestations, together with the universe of visual information, in which we are involved at all times. Captured both with the transience of the gaze, and by direct observation, there are also the meanings attributed to what is seen, as well as the mediation processes, between what is observed and what is photographed, during exploratory walks through vernacular architecture and eclecticism in goiano territory. Methodologically, photography allows us to cut space and time, motivating us to frame, focus and activate this device for recording visual information. An act that results in significant surfaces, feeding the aforementioned field of studies from images in the production of meanings.
