Abstract:	Social capital is a long-term asset in which one invests with an expectation of future return and can be used by individuals to facilitate actions. By an organizational point of view, understanding social capital and its positive relationship with cooperation among employees can prove advantageous, since the increase in social capital has a positive impact on economic results. Additionally, organizations are increasingly focused on teams that interact, communicate and depend on each other to complete their tasks. In its composition, social capital involves multiple components, in this research were used: trust, networks, norms, reciprocity and systems of interpretation of meanings shared between actors. Considering social capital as a catalyst for cooperation between individuals, the objective of the research was, from the perspective of the configurations approach, to understand, at the team level, the influence relations of the configurations of the components of social capital on cooperation. For this purpose, cooperation among individuals from the same team (intra-team cooperation) and cooperation among individuals from different teams (inter-team cooperation) were used as proxies for social capital. Data collection was carried out through the application of a structured questionnaire in a state-owned service provider. In total 849 responses were received. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis in which the factors were the components of social capital and cooperation. Subsequently, the RCA (Relational Class Analysis) technique was used to identify behavioral patterns of individuals. The responses of the teams (N = 49) were calculated using the ADMd (Median Deviation Index). As a result, four behavioral patterns were found: Equipendentes, Associates, Selectives and Individualists. These patterns combined the components of social capital in different ways without, however, showing different results, confirming the principles of conjunction (interdependence of components), equifinality (more than one path to the same result) and asymmetry (absence or inverse relations components) of the configurations approach. In general terms, it was found that any differences in the results of individuals are mitigated at the team level, since no statistically significant results were found at this level, suggesting that a team made up of individuals with different profiles does not necessarily have higher levels of social capital . Furthermore, it was found that reciprocity acts as a kind of compensation when the other components of social capital are present in lesser intensity.
