Abstract:	This research analyzes the practice of design as something inseparable from the designer's point of view and which, from this perspective, organizes and reorganizes symbolic loads in the urban- territorial and virtual city life, directly altering political issues at a sensitive level. Understanding that modern societies are supported, to a large extent, by imagery devices that strengthen social spectacularization, design is centrally positioned in the construction of these symbols within cities. For that, a philosophical and psychoanalytical return was necessary, encompassing issues of the aesthetic apprehension of the environment and its subsequent understanding and meaning based on imaginaries cultivated by everything that surrounds the modern subject, establishing positions at the level of the imaginary. By observing the #EleNão movement in the 2018 Brazilian presidential elections, it was possible to perceive the breadth of design, with a privileged view of the impact of the artificial on the social – given that the entire artificial layer that exists over spaces is the responsibility of design. Finally, the research discusses the impact of the design project on society and the area’s need to question and theorize about the power that its information conveys. That's why this movement was observed, for having manifested itself in spaces and intentions that express themselves politically – considering that the political manifestation at the aesthetic level is what the social order is based on.
