Abstract:	The subject matter of this master’s thesis comports to show the degree to wich Sociology functions as an integral aspect of Brazilian school curriculum. The objective of this study is to identify social behaviors and practices of high school students who attend public High School in the Federal District - DF in accordance with their own perceptions and sociological perspectives on the social as a result of their life experience and their experiences with the Social Sciences classes. The qualitative research is centered on the description and analysis of the position of High School students in relation to certain public problems that are the target of sociological reflections in sociology classes at school, such as some markers of inequality in Brazilian society, such as gender issues, race and social class. The intellectual utility of the discipline of Sociology for those students came out in pragmatic situations of social interaction in the classroom as well as in other spaces outside the school context in which they are aasked to prove their school knowledg conveyed in their interpretations and criticisms of the social, from the which also reveal their worldviews. The methodological framework combined a phenomenologic approach with principles of American based pragmatist Phylosophy and with French pragmatism sociology, whichappropriate in the investigation of themes oriented towards the indentification of praxeological components in situation, such as norms, values and reflexivity. The classrom was the locus where social interactions were observed and the activies laborstory with High School in order to explore how the subjects surveyed interpret, live, feel and perceive from their social experience and school experiences different dimensions of the social world. The results of the investigation pointed to sociological student knowledge resulting from the articulation between experiences inside and outsite the school, allowing the expression of a sociological perspectiva operated from the denaturalization and strangeness of social functioning. It was possible to show in critical operations of the discipline of sociology at school records of the perception of social problemas as public problemas as the foundations for the elaboration of a sociological perspective by non-expert actos, thay is, non-academic social scientists.
