Abstract: The present research has as object the pedagogical actions and the challenges of a teacher of scenic arts, gay and cisgender, in the problematization of gender identities~ expressions in school context. Thus, the general objective is to present such pedagogical actions and the challenges for their implementation, as well as their results, observable from the perspective of the teacher, in order to give rise to a discussion on the formation of teachers - with emphasis in the area of scenic arts - to address issues of gender identities~ expressions in formal education. Such pedagogical actions proposed scenic games with social gender roles present in classic animation films, such as, for example, the repertoire of Disney princesses films, in order to provide the recognition of the independence of social roles in relation to gender, allowing to advance destabilizing the very notion of gender identities-expressions. The notion of deterritorialization in Deleuze and Guattari, which allows rhizomatic paths to the thought of constructing and deconstructing gender identities~ expressions was assumed as the guiding thread of the current research. As a guiding methodology, the notions of sentimental cartography, by Suely Rolnik, and queer cartography, by Paul B. Preciado, were adopted, which point to the deconstruction of the perception of binary notions about multiplicities, such as genders, identities and subjects. Such notions, experienced in this research as notions in transit, in transformation, in becoming, are also addressed by Michael Foucault, Judith Butler, Guacira Lopes Louro, among other authors. Thus, it was verified the relevance of the appropriation, by teachers, of any and all opportunities for discussion and experimentation on social gender roles and gender identities-expressions for the whole school community; the need was highlighted for such themes, contained in the PCN, to be addressed in the context of teacher and teacher training in general and, above all, of performing arts; it was considered the valorization of the personal experiences of those who work in the classroom, that is, their possible differences in gender identities~ expressions, as well as the importance that these professionals revisit and challenge their perspectives regarding the theme in question, in contrast to the expectations that they are people who, inexorably, reiterate the heterocisnormative notions that serve the interests of contemporary capitalist societies.
