Abstract:	Humanity is constituted from relationships between humans or human-nature, and the comprehension of the nuances of these relationships composes how humans move away or approach from natural environments. The imbrication of Environmental Education, Human Ecology and Countryside Education allows an understanding of what kind of relationship children who lives in the countryside build with nature. Hypothetically, hypothetically, rural children live closer to nature in a direct contact with natural environments, it is expected that it will have a greater connection with nature, but this relationship is not necessarily linear. Thus, this work want to understand how countryside children of a settlement and a camp in the Federal District feel connected with nature. This work takes place in two spaces: a settlement and a camp in the Federal District. Nineteen children participated in the research (N = 19), fourteen of whom were female and five were male, aged 4 to 12 years, with a mean age of 6.6 years. The mixed method was used, with participant observation, experiential workshops and a semi-structured interview, in addition to the use of the Nature Inclusion Scale in Self-INS (Schultz, 2001). Content analysis using the software: Iramuteq was used for the analysis of qualitative data, complemented by descriptive analyzes of the INS. In this work, one of the ways for countryside children to connect with nature is through play. Nature takes on the meaning of freedom, divine aspects and prominence for its proximity to countryside children, represented by the adverb here. The scale results show that 85.8% of children feel connected to nature, with 7.1% partially connected, and 7.1% do not feel connected to nature. This research paves the way for research with countryside children and educational activities in the field. Thus, it is necessary to produce knowledge about the relationships of countryside children and their connection with nature, thus contributing to the construction of educational and environmental projects with the reaffirmation of the right to countryside education.
