Abstract:	the investigation has as object feminine roles in north-american comics, published in brazil, during the period that ran from the 30’s until the 90’s of the 20th century, and the purpose is to ascertain the existence of basic female templates. the guiding argument has, as an axis, possible modifications of the portrayals of women in specific historic conjunctures. the research tests, analyses and compares the main female characters, the good girl and the bad one and also, in the case of the second chapter, the central male character, the hero. they were depicted from two or three magazines published in historical moments pointed out by theoreticians as the most relevant ones. having as theoretically presupposed that the many departments of knowledge are interacted, the selected corpus considers as a reference a program of reflections that includes categories such as cultural industry, gender, social representations, elements from the analysis of discourse (french ad) and history as a field of knowledge. in such articulations and in different levels of modal propositions, dimensions of the imaginary and of the daily life were taken from the empirical form, which is the scenery of remanance in one hand and of re-edition in the other, a scenery in which the former turned out to be more thrilling than the latter. as a result, we have an analysis of the personages, manners and everyday customs, modes of speech, fashion and its garment, as well as the conditions of production that rendered propitious the emergence of this or that story, the constituents of a discourse engendered, the net of sense in which each character is inscribed and the depictions anchored in them.
