Abstract:	This research is part of a range of the existing links between audiovisual and education from a perspective that includes the insertion of that language in teaching contexts, as a gesture of creation. In the face of the challenge of thinking about this issue, the pedagogical intervention emerged as an indispensable condition to adequately substantiate the reflections that the investigation itself sought. On that account, this strategy counted on the participation of six 1st year students from a local high school called Centro de Ensino Médio Elefante Branco, and whose focus was making a film, under the researcher's mediation, with the aim of deepening the reflections based upon pedagogical practices in filmmaking paths in the school environment. Anchored in the sense of experience and in the methodological perspective of the narrative, the present investigation privileged the personal reports of the collaborators, their life stories and the overlap of these experiences with the creation and invention of the film. The path taken by the research suggests important notes, among which, one of them refers to the inseparable character between doing and watching; in this sense, the expansion of the repertoire in the audiovisual language is a basic condition for students and educators. Another aspect indicates the need to establish more horizontal relations between the educator and the students, pedagogical practices that privilege listening, inquiry and provocation, if necessary. The conduct of filmic invention generated hybrid narratives, which were formed based on discussions of important themes for the community, using audiovisual language as a form of expression
