| Abstract: | Technological Parks began to be designed in the United States in the 1950’s, as a consequence of the postwar emergence of a large number of new businesses from research activities, especially in California and the surrounding area. Boston. Those groundbreaking projects gave rise to today's Silicon Valley and Route 128 complexes in the United States - USA, and have gained the attention of universities, urban planners, government officials and private investors around the world. Recently, MCTIC Law 13,243 of January 11, 2016, changes the definition of what a Technology Park represents: “a planned complex of business for technological development, promoter of an innovation culture, industrial competitiveness, business training and promotion synergies in scientific research, technological development and innovation activities between companies and one or more ICTs, with or without ties to each other”. The UnB Scientific and Technological Park was created by Resolution 14/2007 of the Board of Directors of the University of Brasilia Foundation, with the purpose of establishing the construction of new institutional relations between the university, the private sector, the government and society. The idealization of the UnB Park, however, began in 1986 with the creation of the Center for Business Development Support at the University of Brasilia (CDT / UnB), a decentralized university unit that supports and promotes technological development, innovation and entrepreneurship, through the integration between the university, companies and society in general. This work, through the perspective of the theories found in the various bibliography, as well as internal documents, reports and other archives of the University of Brasilia, presents results of the case study of the Scientific and Technological Park as an area of innovation within the University of Brasilia, through of the publication of articles. In addition to the result of the PCTec/UnB case study, an analysis of an asset protected by UnB and its technological maturity is presented. |
