Abstract:	The dissertation consists in a study about the covering of the president of the Republic developed bv the media Brazilian printed. Here, the routine of work of the journalists is told having as main focus the feature of the media in divulging notices directed to the entertainment. At the same time that the journalists publish formai reports on the main actions of the president, them also write lighter and amused texts on unusual events of the presidential routine. The fírst part of the work is dedicated to the bibliographical revision of the subject on the basis o f the main concepts and theories used in the studies of media and politics in Brazil. After that, were made comparative ãnalyses in reports published in four Brazilian periodicals on remarkable episodes lived by president Fernando Henrique Cardoso. The last part of the work is reserved for the interviews carried through the journalists who follow the daily one of the president of the Republic. Based on the theories, interviews and news published in the Brazilian press. the dissertation argues the presence of the entertainment in the journalistic productions of the country. Of this discussion, appears a study that has as objective understand the trend of the Brazilian press to the spectacularization of the notice. especially the ones of politics contents lived deeply by the president of the Republic.
