Abstract: Agroforestry systems (SAFs) have been pointed as capable of guaranteeing the preservation of different environmental compartments and the supply of agricultural products. Calophyllum brasiliense CAMBESS (guanandi) is a tree species that occur in the Cerrado of interest for the development of SAFs and the production of healthy and vigorous seedlings of this species depends on the use of inputs, which must be produced from renewable sources. Among these, humic substances (SH) and microbial inoculated (IM) have been studied as potential agents of plant development, but still little explored for the production of seedlings of tree species. The present work aimed to evaluate the effects of the addition of SH extracted with NaOH (humic acids - AH) or hot water (water-soluble humic extract - EHSA) on the development of guanandi seedlings together with bacteria. (a) the isolation and identification of potential plant growth-promoting bacteria in structures of the plant species itself, and also the rhizosphere in plants from existing forest stands; (b) Verify that the combined use of humic materials and isolated bacteria alters the development profile of guanandi seedlings during the nursery phase. Prospecting tests showed a total of 31 isolates of nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Of these, 28 solubilized phosphorus and 25 zinc. The isolate, belonging to the genus Pseudomonas, presented the highest value of solubilized phosphorus (100,4 µg mL-1 ) and was the most promising for the production of IAA (0,52 µg mL-1 ) and zinc solubilization (147, 8 µg mL-1 ). The genus Enterobacter presented a zinc solubilization value (147,7 µg mL-1 ). The results showed the presence of a large diversity of beneficial bacteria associated with Calophyllum brasiliense Cambess, which can be exploited as microbial inoculants in agriculture. After the application of IM +AH, the shoot and root presented, respectively, an average increase of 35,77% and 54,81% of the dry mass compared to the control. The IM + EHSA presented 10 and 16% more dry mass and number of lateral roots respectively compared to the control treatment. Regarding stem diameter, there was a 21,76% increase in dry mass for AH treatment. The IM treatment obtained from the rhizosphere and plant structures of guanandi caused water deficit in the seedlings, reducing by 27,94% the amount of water when compared to the control. Regarding the efficiency of water use (WUA), all parameters associated with gas exchange, the AH treatment presented the best values. It is possible to state that the combination of the characteristic biometric growth-promoting effect of SH with bacterial inoculation was favorable, thus stimulating the use of biostimulant bacteria and SH in agroforestry systems.
