Abstract:	Study of the flow of information on public policies at the Chamber of Deputies used by deputies, personal staff and legislative assistants. 109 interviews were made. The frequency of use of sources of information with potential importance to the groups involved was studied and those showing highest frequency were newspapers; books and magazines; radio and television; PRODASEN; the Library Coordination and the Section of Brazilian Legislation. Data processing, informatics, reports, analyses and data about the Government were the most frequently mentioned by those interviewed when asked about the sources and types of information which were necessary for the performance of their tasks but were not available. The opinion of those interviewed was gathered according to the criteria of access facility, promptness, reliability, importance and form of presentation of the information needed with the Section of Synopsis and the Library Coordination getting the highest marks.
